Democratic Leader
Committed to building Nepal's future through economic growth, transparent governance, and strengthening democratic values.
Nepali Congress Candidate
Nawalparasi West (Constituency No. 1)

Binod Chaudhary is Nepal's first billionaire, a member of the House of Representatives, and the architect behind the Chaudhary Group: a global conglomerate with over 160 companies and 123 brands spanning five continents. His journey from Kathmandu's streets to the world stage exemplifies Nepali entrepreneurial spirit.
As representative for Nawalparasi-1, he champions a vision of transforming Nepal from a remittance-dependent state to a production-based economy. With 20,000 jobs created and nearly 2% contributed to the national treasury, Chaudhary remains committed to his "Prosperity Mandate" of building a Nepal where youth can innovate, create wealth, and thrive.
Born in 1955, Binod Chaudhary inherited a legacy of commerce that began with his grandfather, Bhuramull Chaudhary, who established a textile business that laid the foundation for the family’s entrepreneurial journey. His father, Lunkaran Das Chaudhary, modernized this foundation by establishing Arun Emporium in 1968, Nepal’s first department store, introducing the concept of modern retail to the nation.

At age 18, Chaudhary had to lead his family business because his father became very sick with a heart problem. He stopped his plans to study accounting to help his family. He did not just keep the business the same; he grew it. Instead of only buying and selling goods, he started building factories and making products.

In 1973, Chaudhary opened a nightclub in Kathmandu called "Copper Floor." It became very popular. In 1979, he made a big deal with a company called National Panasonic to build radios in Nepal. This was his first time working with a famous international company. Later, he also brought Suzuki cars to Nepal, which changed how people traveled in the country.

In 1984, Chaudhary noticed that people’s eating habits were changing. He worked with a company from Thailand to start making "Wai Wai" noodles. This was a huge success. Today, Wai Wai is sold all over the world. He has factories in many countries like India, Serbia, Bangladesh, and Egypt. Because of this success, people call him "The Noodle King."

In 2008, Chaudhary was chosen to help write Nepal's new constitution. During this time, the country was changing a lot, and things were unstable. Chaudhary worked hard to make sure the new laws protected people's rights to own property and keep their investments safe. He wanted to make sure that the rules did not become too extreme and that businesses could continue to work safely in Nepal.

In 2017, Chaudhary joined the Nepali Congress party. He wanted to help Nepal open its economy more to the world. From 2017 to 2022, he served as a Member of Parliament (MP). In this role, he worked on laws that made it easier for people to invest money in Nepal. He wanted to make sure Nepal was connected to the global economy so the country could grow faster.

In 2022, Chaudhary took a big risk. Instead of taking a safe seat in the government, he decided to run in a direct election in Nawalparasi. Many people thought a rich businessman could not win a popular vote. However, he defeated a famous local politician by over 7,000 votes. This showed that the regular people liked his plan to focus on results and work rather than just his identity.

"My success is not just in what I have built, but in the path I have paved for Nepal to dream of global enterprise."
